# Cosmetics

Cosmetics are collectable, equipable items used to customize your **player model**, **chat identity**, and **profile**. As you unlock cosmetics, you earn ![:trophy\_purple:](https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/1302389841853546619.webp?size=56)**Style Trophies**, which increase your **Style Level** and help unlock **Style Rank** perks.

## Commands

## Obtainment

Cosmetics generally fall into three buckets:

* **Earnable:** these cosmetics are obtained through the [Cosmetic Crate](#cosmetic-crate) or by **trading** with other players through [SafeTrade](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/trading/safetrade) or [GTS](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/trading/gts)
* **Rewards:** these cosmetics are granted for completing certain activities, such as [Bingo](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/player/bingo), [Raids](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/battling/raids), or [Gyms](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/battling/player-gyms)
* **Seasonal:** Limited-time cosmetics may appear in **Seasonal Crates**, obtainable from the [Donation Store](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/donation-store) or from **staff-hosted weekly events**

## Usage

All cosmetics are equipped in the `/cosmetics` menu.

### Previewing

All wearable Cosmetics by hovering over them in the `/cosmetics` menu.

### Trading

Most cosmetics can be traded through [SafeTrade](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/trading/safetrade) and the [GTS](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/trading/gts).

### Customization

Some cosmetics support customization:

* **Nicknames** and **Titles** can be personalized using **Gradients**
* Certain wearable cosmetics can be dyed via the **Color Picker** menu
* Certain furniture can be dyed via the `/furniture dye` command

## Style Trophies

Unlocking cosmetics grants ![:trophy\_purple:](https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/1302389841853546619.webp?size=56)**Style Trophies**, which contribute to your **Style Level**.

* Higher-rarity cosmetics generally award more trophies
* Cosmetics inside **collections** can award additional trophies as you progress (see below)

## Collections

Most cosmetics are grouped into **collections** (shown in cosmetic lore). You can view all collections and your completion progress in the `/cosmetics collections`  menu.

When you unlock a cosmetic in a collection, you’re awarded ![:trophy\_purple:](https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/1302389841853546619.webp?size=56)**Style Trophies** based on cosmetic rarity, cosmetic type, and the collection. Collection trophies are **not permanent;** if you trade away a cosmetic, you also lose the trophies it awarded.

## Cosmetic Crate

**Cosmetic Keys** grant a a randomized cosmetic reward upon being opened.

* You may **re-roll** your reward **one time**
* You will **never** receive a cosmetic you already have unlocked

## Bundles <a href="#bundles" id="bundles"></a>

The **Cosmetic Bundle** system makes obtaining a matching set of wearable cosmetics much more feasible. Seasonal crates offer a small chance to award a random bundle, and the option to purchase a bundle of choice with ![:bit:](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.discordapp.com%2Femojis%2F1413690086591041597.webp%3Fsize%3D40\&width=300\&dpr=3\&quality=100\&sign=a5cfc14a\&sv=2)**Bits** in the crate preview menu.

Only one of each type can be equipped at the same time.

An alternative name that displays in chat and tab. Customizable with colors, **gradients** from the cosmetic crate, and text formatting.&#x20;
