🌟Hidden Ability Pokémon

Hidden Ability Pokémon are Pokémon with a rarer and usually more powerful ability than their normal Pokémon counterparts. Wild spawns have a base HA chance of $\frac{1}{300} \approx 0.33\%$, and can be increased with several chance modifiers.

Chance Modifiers

All wild HA chance modifiers are applied additively to the base chance:

$$\text{HA chance} = \frac{1 + \sum \text{boost}}{\text{base chance}}$$

Example (55% boost with a 10% boost):

$$\frac{1 + 0.55 + 0.1}{300}\Rightarrow \frac{1}{181.81} \approx 0.55\%$$

When fully stacked, the maximum possible boost is currently +105%, resulting in 0.683% chance per wild spawn

Server Boosters

Global HA Boosters are server-wide modifiers that increase the HA chance for everyone while active. They can be obtained from:

• Donation Store: Purchased with Bits.

• Community Goals: Activated when a goal is completed.

• VoteParty: Randomly selected as a VoteParty reward.

Living PokéDex Badge

Maintaining phase VIII of the Living PokéDex badge grants a +15% HA boost.

Shoulder Mounts

Equipping Mew grants a +5% HA boost.

Boosted HA Encounters

Outbreaks

Outbreak spawns have a $\frac{1}{100} = 1\%$ chance to be HA and are not affected by other HA chance modifiers. A maximum of one HA Pokémon can spawn during an outbreak.

Rustles

Rustle spawns have a $\frac{1}{200} \approx 0.5\%$ chance to be HA and are not affected by other HA chance modifiers.

Fishing

When reeling in a Pokémon, there is a $\frac{1}{35} \approx 2.86\%$ chance it will be HA.

Obtainment

HA Pokémon can be obtained in numerous other ways besides wild spawns:

• Safari: Safari spawns have a base HA chance of $\frac{1}{150} \approx 0.67\%$.

• Raids: Legendary Raids have a $\frac{1}{30} \approx 3.33\%$ HA chance, and Hard non-legendary Raids have a $\frac{1}{75} \approx 1.33\%$ HA chance.

• Apex Bosses: Apex Bosses have tier-based HA chances.

• Breeding: Mothers have a 60% chance to pass their Hidden Ability.

• Player Trading: Browse through GTS with the HA filter enabled, or ask in chat and send someone a SafeTrade request.
