# Modpack

The [Official Apex Cobblemon Modpack](/info/installation-guide.md) is a lightweight Fabric modpack designed specifically for optimal performance and a streamlined gameplay experience. Enjoy Cobblemon at its finest with our curated selection of over **90 mods**, including performance improvements, quality-of-life features, visual enhancements, and server-specific integrations built for Apex Cobblemon.

Alongside the required mods needed to join the server, the modpack includes **Apex Integration**, our custom client mod that adds Apex-specific features that are not possible through vanilla Minecraft alone.

## Nameplates

{% columns %}
{% column width="58.333333333333336%" %}
Apex Integration improves the vanilla Minecraft nameplate system with custom Apex Cobblemon nameplates. These enhanced nameplates allow the server to display additional player information above characters, including [Titles](/features/player/cosmetics.md#titles), [Crown Level](/features/player/badges/crown-ranks.md), [Style Level](/features/player/cosmetics/style-ranks.md), and [Fishing Level](/features/fishing/fishing-level.md).

Modpack users can also view their own nameplate while in third-person mode, making it easier to see how their title, levels, and tags appear to other players. Only players using the official modpack can see the full enhanced nameplate display.

## Channel Buttons

Apex Integration adds clickable channel buttons next to the chat box, allowing you to switch chat channels without typing a command. Clicking a channel button instantly changes your active chat channel, making it easier to move between conversations while playing.

<figure><img src="/files/zsb3AQOamh2OOVJgFMeu" alt="" width="501"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## PC Hotkey

Apex Integration adds a dedicated hotkey for quickly opening your PC. By default, pressing **P** will open your PC from anywhere, allowing you to manage your Pokémon without needing to run a command or visit a PC block.

## Config Menu

{% columns %}
{% column width="50%" %}
Apex Integration includes an in-game configuration menu powered through [ModMenu](https://modrinth.com/mod/modmenu). This menu allows you to adjust supported client-side settings directly in-game. Available options include visual preferences, quality-of-life settings, and other Apex Integration features.

{% endcolumns %}

{% hint style="info" %}

{% endhint %}

## Render Fixes

Apex Integration includes several client-side render fixes designed to improve visual consistency.

<table><thead><tr><th width="240.4000244140625" align="center">Fix</th><th align="center">Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td align="center">Text Background Transparency</td><td align="center">Ensures supported text backgrounds render with proper transparency instead of appearing fully opaque</td></tr><tr><td align="center">Item Stack Labels</td><td align="center">Fixes cases where item stack labels, such as damage indicators, could render incorrectly over containers with font-image titles</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Resource Pack Updates

Apex Integration automatically keeps supported resource packs up to date while using the Official Apex Cobblemon Modpack. When a new version of a resource pack is installed, the updated version is automatically enabled for you, so you do not need to manually adjust your resource pack list.

## Persistent Configs

The Official Apex Cobblemon Modpack uses the [YOSBR](https://modrinth.com/mod/yosbr) mod to provide default configuration files on first install. These defaults are only applied when the modpack is installed for the first time, meaning your personal config changes will not be wiped or reset after each modpack update.

## Other Mods

The Apex Cobblemon Modpack includes a curated selection of additional client mods chosen to improve performance, visuals, quality-of-life, and overall compatibility with the server. These mods are bundled directly with the modpack, so no extra installation is required when using the official version.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/modpack.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
