There are 24 powerful Fishing Perks, with each providing a unique buff/effect. Each perk upgrade awards 10 Angler Trophies.

Access the Fishing Perks menu by pressing shift + right click while holding your Apex Rod

Hook Perks

Perk	Effect
Lucky Hook	Increases the chance of a Large or above size when you catch a Trophy Fish
Wise Hook	Increases the chance of a Epic or above tier when you catch a Trophy Fish
Treasure Hook	Increases the chance of a Rare or above tier when you catch a Treasure
Pokémon Hook	Increases the chance of a Rare or above tier when you catch a Pokémon
Lustrous Hook	Increases the chance for Pearls to be Shiny or Glimmering when caught
Fortune Hook	Increases the chance for Essence to be Refined or Pure when caught

Magnet Perks

Perk	Effect
Hotspot Magnet	Grants a chance to prevent the consumption of hotspot stock after each catch
Fish Magnet	Increases the chance to multiply the amount of Trophy Fish you catch
Treasure Magnet	Increases the chance to multiply the amount of Treasure you catch
Pokémon Magnet	Grants a chance to double your Pearl Treasure, and Essence chance after defeating a reeled Pokémon
Pearl Magnet	Increases the chance to multiply the amount of Pearls you catch
Essence Magnet	Increases the chance to multiply the amount of Essence you catch

Quick Rod	Grants a chance to instantly reel in your next catch
Unstable Rod	Grants a chance to gain double research progress
Incense Rod	Increases the chance for caught Pokémon to be an Apex Boss
Shiny Rod	Increases the chance for caught Pokémon to be Shiny
Clutch Rod	Grants a chance to reattempt a failed Minigame
