# Player Gyms

Gyms are player-run battle centers that offer a more competitive environment along with rewards. If there is at least one leader currently online, players can send a battle request to a gym in the `/gyms` menu. Players may [apply](https://apexcobblemon.com/form/2/select) to become a [Gym Leader](https://wiki.apexcobblemon.com/features/battling/player-gyms/gym-leaders) on our main website.

## Gym Seasons

Gyms host both **Singles** and **Doubles** battles, each with its own format. These formats may rotate every two months as part of the Gym Season cycle. For example, a season might feature:

* **Singles:** 6v6 battles (National Dex rules) in the OverUsed (OU) tier
* **Doubles:** 6v6 battles (National Dex rules) in the Ubers tier

## Leader Login Alerts

It can be challenging to catch a Gym Leader online at the right time. To help with this, players can enable login alerts by pressing **Shift + Right-click** on a gym in the Gym Selection menu. Once activated, this feature sends a direct **Direct Message** on [Discord](https://discord.gg/apexcobblemon) whenever a leader of that gym logs in to the server.

**Each victory** grants the following rewards:

### Seasonal Rewards

By earning at least one badge from every **Singles** gym and every **Doubles** gym in a season, challengers unlock special seasonal rewards. Only one badge from each unique gym is needed.
